Deciding to go through a rebranding process can be super exciting. Your business is hitting the reset button and is taking on a whole new appearance. Out with the old and in with the new! Although it is super easy to jump into a rebranding process, it is best to be prepared before everything begins. Here are my 3 steps to take BEFORE we begin your rebranding process.
1. Identify who you are as a business and an entrepreneur.
Do you have a mission and vision statement? Do you have an ideal client? What problem is your business solving for your clients? Take some time to sit down and write all of these things down. It will help bring clarity and focus to your business and recenter you into remembering why you are doing what you do and who you are serving.
2. Identify what you like and dislike about your current brand/ website.
Are you confident in sticking with your color scheme? Do you have a certain aesthetic you are trying to maintain? Are there certain aspects of your websites that are working well? On the other hand, are there areas that are not moving the needle in your business? Is your website user-friendly? Is your current branding and aesthetic recognizable?
3. Identify 3 keywords.
What three words would your clients/audience use to describe you? Aside from words like 'professional' (which should be a given) come up with the words you would use to describe your business, and then poll your audience to see their responses. You might be surprised as to how your business is being perceived by your audience, you also might be inspired to reconsider the words you originally laid out.
After you have completed these three steps you are almost ready for your rebrand! Now it's time to find a designer... but don't worry, I'm here to help with that too!
